American Political Lesson

December 15, 2007

From now until the presidential election in 2008, we voters (also known as the “sheep”) are inundated by the politicians carefully contrived “positions” on not only issues critical to the American people but also insignificant trivia such as whether the candidate wet their pants in 1st grade class.

In one day, a typical candidate will attend three fundraisers telling the assembled multitude at each rally what they want to hear, often in direct contrast to what they said at the preceding rally.

But we can sometimes look at a long-term historical perspective of the statements or voting records of candidates throughout the years to form a true picture as to the candidates “real” position in matters we are deeply concerned about.
