American First Party |
“The central focus of the America First Party is to put America and all Americans First. We will elect candidates who will restore morality, ethics, and common sense to public service. We will return our Constitution to its proper place in our Republic.” |
|
|
America Founding Fathers Partners
(AFFP) |
“If you are fed up with the way your political party is acting (not acting might be the better term); if you are fed up with the way your government is behaving; if you believe in Freedom and the Constitution but no longer fit in anywhere politically, you have come to the right place. The AFFP offers a proven but forgotten solution to all of these problems.” |

|
American Heritage Party |
The party’s platform includes: “A political party
that adopts the Bible as its political textbook and is unashamed to be
explicitly Christian! A political party that holds its members, leaders and officers
accountable to its principles and platform! A political party that forever alters the American political debate
by transforming politics as usual into a contest of underlying belief
systems: the sovereignty of God vs. the autonomy of man! A political party that is unafraid to attack socialism at its
secular, unbelieving, religious roots! A political party that won't barter away the lives, earnings and
futures of unborn generations to achieve political power today! A political party dedicated not to winning political power today, but
to the founding of a long-term multigenerational movement! A political party that recognizes it is God alone who prospers a
nation, and seeks to be faithful, relying on prayer and His Sovereignty in
all its efforts!” |

American Independent Party |
“The
American Independent Party, California Affiliate of the Constitution Party,
believes in redeeming our country, by restoring the tenets of our U.S.
Constitution and supports: ·
The sanctity of
innocent human life, including the lives of the unborn; ·
Protection of
American jobs from unfair foreign competition; repeal of NAFTA, GATT/WTO; ·
Limits on legal
immigration, and an end to illegal immigration; no tax funded benefits to
illegals; ·
Excellence in
education, and right of parents to choose public schools, private schools, or
home schooling; ·
Control of crime;
capital punishment for the most aggravated offenses; ·
Right of Citizens
to keep and bear arms as provided by the Bill of Rights; ·
Ending the
personal income tax, and abolition of the IRS; ·
A debt free money
system; ·
A
non-interventionist foreign policy, and a strong national defense free of
waste; ·
Protection of
consumers’ rights in utility rates, insurance, health care, and housing; ·
Consideration of
human needs in environmental concerns; ·
We oppose any revision
of the California Constitution to limit the right to vote, impair the
people’s right of initiative, overturn voter approved term limits, make it
easier for government to tax and spend, or create bureaucratic regional
governments. We oppose both government speculation with Social
Security funds, and affirmative action programs which substitute racial
favoritism for individual ability.” |

American Party |
“Why the American Party?” “Americanism
- So few seem to remember the true meaning and the result has been a creeping
chaos into every church, every school, and every home in our nation. Let's
look at a few examples: Shortages,
the outcome of government intervention in the market place by way of business
harassment and wage and price controls are plaguing the country. Inflation,
forced upon the people through the expansion in the supply of unbacked
currency, is the effect of unending deficit spending of government and the
prime cause of the wage-price spiral. Taxes,
both hidden and open, rise daily to help finance the growing bureaucratic
machine that continues wasteful spending at a mind boggling rate. Murder,
under the trade name of Abortion, is now legalized by the Supreme Court
because it is deemed a violation of one person's right that another might
live. Crime,
unchecked by legally hand crafted local police, is overflowing in the cities
and spilling into the rural communities. Good people, fearing for their
lives, families, and property, scream for "law and order" and are
being offered gun controls and a national police force as the ultimate in
solutions. The
cry for change is being heard far and wide, but the only change being offered
by the two nationally known political parties is a change in approach and not
in goals. On the one hand we are offered open socialism and on the other a
more subtle socialism, but the goal is always the same; an increase in the
power of a centralized government. No super
government has ever been able to solve these problems and no super government
ever will. It can only add to the chaos as it always has and most surely
will, for tyranny is the end result and that is the biggest problem of them
all. The best solution, tried and tested, is very simple; a return to Americanism. Not a tax burdened, welfare riddled, socialist dominated philosophy but true Americanism. A return to the free market system, a return to the true intentions of the Constitution as explained by Jefferson, Madison, Hamilton, and Jay; a return to the simple purpose of government, the protection of life and property, where punishment is due the criminal and not the honest citizen. “ |

Improve delivery of Medicare and Medicaid programs and benefits. · Reduce the influence of money and special interests in campaigns. · Establish public funding options for clean elections and shorten election cycles. · Eliminate soft money from corporations, unions, and wealthy individuals. · Prompt Internet disclosure of campaign contributions and voting records. · Lobbyists provide information, not money. · States must grant fair ballot access for third party candidates and independents. · TV and Radio debates and forums must include ballot-qualified third-party and independent candidates. · Publish uniform statewide voters guides. · Term limits for elected officials, legislative leaders, committee chairs. · Proportional representation; require courts, not political parties, to construct equal legislative voting districts. · Open primaries: a single unified ballot so voters can choose candidates of any party. · Cumulative voting options, instant runoff. · NOTA (None of the Above) on the ballot line as a voter's choice. · Recall vote to remove legislators. · Replace electoral college with popular vote. · Citizen initiative and referendum laws in all states, and also as national advisories. · Keep our United Nations dues current, meet international obligations and humanitarian needs, and stay engaged in world affairs as the political and economic leader of the free world. · Restore normal diplomatic and trade relations with Cuba. · Eliminate the trade deficit, pursue fair-trade policies, and reestablish the nation's creditor status. · End fast-track passage of trade agreements and require congressional accountability. · Require trading partners to meet standards in human rights, workers rights, labor laws, and environmental laws. · Retain U.S. manufacturing capacity and keep high-paying technical jobs at home. · Establish a firm cap of 200,000 immigrants per year. · Limit family reunification to spouses and minor children of legal immigrants. · Ban future amnesties for illegal immigrants and review political asylum claims. · Enforce job eligibility verification as well as all immigration laws and regulations. · Establish a universal, single-payer health program across the states and the nation. · It is the responsibility of the American people to be stewards of the earth down to the seventh generation. We therefore support policies for clean air, clean water, endangered species, land and water conservation, and stabilization of U.S. and world population growth. · Support fair crop-dairy-livestock prices and a living wage for family farmers. · Make the transfer of family farms equitable from one generation to the next · Conserve arable farmland and curtail urban sprawl. To renew democracy, our mission is to stimulate citizen participation
in the political process, break the two-party monopoly, and guarantee free
elections. “

Conservative Party of
New York State |
“The Conservative Party
was formed in 1962 to restore a meaningful choice to the voters of New York
State. At that time, the three existing political parties espoused the
doctrinaire liberal philosophy of the welfare state at home and the
collectivist ideology abroad. In just three short decades, the party has
grown from a small band of conservative-minded men and women to a statewide
organization of almost 170,000 individuals dedicated to the traditional
American values of individual freedom, individual responsibility and individual
effort.” |
|
|
Constitution Party |
“The mission of the Constitution Party is to secure the blessings of
liberty to ourselves and our posterity through the election, at all levels of
government, of Constitution Party candidates who will uphold the principles
of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States.
It is our goal to limit the Federal government to its delegated, enumerated,
Constitutional functions and to restore American jurisprudence to its
original Biblical common-law foundations.” |
|
|
Constitutional Action Party |
“The Constitution Action Party (CAP) is a new political party arising
out of the ashes of the two major parties. Democrats are increasingly
alienated from the values of most Americans and have forgotten how best to
represent the economic interests of their main constituency, working
families. Republicans generally do a better job of reflecting traditional
American values (that's why they are gaining strength at the expense of the
Democrats), but they never did have any real interest in promoting the economic
well-being of working families. And Republicans will eventually crack in two
over the issue of abortion. CAP intends to become the new majority party in this country by
uniting traditional values with a well-thought-out program of economic
populism.” |
|
|
Freedom Socialist Party |
“THE FREEDOM SOCIALIST PARTY IS a revolutionary, socialist feminist organization, dedicated to the replacement of capitalist rule by a genuine workers' democracy that will guarantee full economic, social, political, and legal equality to women, people of color, gays, and all who are exploited, oppressed, and repelled by the profit system and its offshoot -- imperialism.” |
|
|
Green Party of the United States |
“The Green Party Platform is an
evolving document, a living work-in-progress that expresses our commitment to
creating meaningful and enduring change in the political process. Our Party’s
first priority is to value-based politics, in contrast to a system extolling
exploitation, consumption, and non-sustainable competition. We believe in an alternative,
independent politics and active, responsible government. We
believe in empowering citizens and communities. We offer hope and a call to
action. |
|
|
Independence Party |
The party’s platform includes: “1) Preserving
our democratic process 2) Justice 3) Social
inclusiveness 4) Fiscal
responsibility 5) Curtailing
government intrusion into our personal lives 6) An
educated citizenry 7) Personal
responsibility 8) Pro-active
leadership 9) Protecting our environment |
|
Labor Party
|
“The
Labor Party is a new political party of, by and for working people. It was
founded in June 1996 at a convention of 1,400 delegates from hundreds of
local and international unions as well as individual activists. We believe
that on issues most important to working people – trade, health care, and the
rights to organize, bargain and strike – both the Democrats and Republicans
have failed working people. |
|
|
Libertarian |
“Libertarians
believe the answer to America’s political problems is the same commitment to
freedom that earned America its greatness: a free-market economy and the abundance
and prosperity it brings; a dedication to civil liberties and personal
freedom that marks this country above all others; and a foreign policy of
non-intervention, peace, and free trade as prescribed by America’s founders.” |
|
|
Light Party |
“THE LIGHT PARTY a synthesis of the
Republican, Democratic, Libertarian and Green Parties, is a PROACTIVEE
holistic, educational, empowerment party.... We have formulated a practical,
synergistic, 7-point WIN-WIN program which serves to successfully resolve our
current socio- economic and ecological challenges...” |

New Party
|
“The New Party is an umbrella organization for grassroots political groups working to break the stranglehold that corporate money and corporate media have over our political process.” Our current work and long-term
strategy is to change states' election rules to allow fusion voting - a
method of voting that allows minor parties to have their own ballot line with
which they can either endorse their own candidates or endorse the candidates
of other parties. Through fusion, minor parties don't have to always compete
in the winner-take-all two party system and can avoid "spoiling" -
throwing an election to the most conservative candidate by splitting the
votes that might go to two more progressive candidates (ours and another
party's). |
|
|
New Union Party |
“The New Union Party shares with all
Socialist organizations a theoretical foundation in the writings of Karl Marx
and Friedrich Engels. Our specific ideological roots lie in the revolutionary
labor movement of the United States of approximately 1890 to 1914, as
expounded by the editor of the Socialist Labor Party's periodicals, Daniel
DeLeon. Although we advocate political and social revolution, we are
committed to lawful activities to overthrow the capitalist economic system.” |

|
Party X |
“It's not the Republicans against the Democrats, it's the politicians against the people. No reasonable mind can deny that America's political path is heading downhill--and fast. If the voters of this great nation cannot come together soon, our grandchildren will not have much of a country left. Every one of the ills of this country that we see today can be cured. We intend to make the first move toward curing them. It is a very bold move but we will no longer sit back and watch corruption rule our lives and take our liberties and property. Politics was never meant to be a full time career. Full
time politicians have lost touch with us, the American people, our goals, our
dreams, and our love of freedom. They have traded our countries ideals for
money and power. There are millions that feel just like you and I. It's our
time to speak and be heard. The Republicans and Democrats have had over 100
years to do nothing but sell us out. Now we, the American people, are going
to change it all. The two political parties running our country DO NOT
represent the interest of its citizens. They have one purpose, to make money
through the seizure of power by advancing their party. They will do this at
the expense of the people they are supposed to represent with no regret of
actions or consequences. This is a call to all Americans who want to be the
vanguard which begins returning the nation back to its constitutional
principles.” |
|
|
Peace and Freedom Party |
“The
Peace and Freedom Party was founded on June 23, 1967, by people who wanted to
vote for something they could support. The Democrats were leading the nation
in the war against Vietnam. As the military drained the domestic economy,
Republicans and Democrats called for "law and order" to repress
Americans who wished to improve their own lives. Black militants were rising
up angrily in the cities, while Filipino and Latino farm workers were
organizing labor unions in the fields. Women were agitating for full equality
with men. These forces of discontent united to create an electoral arm of
"The Movement." A massive voter registration drive placed the Peace
and Freedom Party on the California ballot in January 1968. On both the state
and national level, we have shown a willingness to work with other like
minded groups, trying to build a mass based socialist party throughout the
country. What positions
does Peace and Freedom Party take? The PFP from the very beginning has been a strong advocate for the
protection of the environment from pollution and nuclear waste. We honor all
treaties with Native Americans. We support the right of all people to self
determination. We recognize each person's right to determine her or his own
sexual preferences. We respect the right of all individuals to control their
own bodies, including free abortion on demand. We call for free access to a
full education for every person at any point in life. We fight for each
person's right to be well clothed, well housed, and well fed. We want free
high equality health care as a right, not a privilege. The PFP envisions a
full employment economy based on peacetime production to provide for the
needs of all people. Since 1974 the Peace and Freedom Party platform has been
feminist and socialist. We want a socialist economy, one where industries,
financial institutions, and natural resources are owned by the people as a
whole and democratically managed by the people who work in them and use them.
This would be a big change from the present corporate capitalist economy. The
richest 1% of the population has half of all privately © owned stock in U.S.
corporations and controls most of the institutional stock. They control the policies
of business, government, and the media. The capitalist economy starts out
with competition for personal profit and ends up with huge monopolies which
waste resources. They don't care if they endanger the planet by making
useless or even harmful products, so long as they make money. Under
capitalism, millions of people are jobless, homeless, often hungry, and
without proper medical care. Even those with decent jobs live with the fear
of war, nuclear destruction, and environmental pollution of our food, air and
water. As a feminist party, the Peace and Freedom Party actively supports
the struggle to eliminate oppression and discrimination based on sex or
sexual orientation. Sexual oppression, abuse, and violence in our personal
lives are intimately related to authoritarianism and hierarchical
institutions, oppression and abuse on the job, and to the violence of war.
The struggle against sexism and the struggle for democratic and nonviolent
human relations cannot be delayed but must be pursued actively at the same
time as the struggle to eliminate oppression and discrimination based on
class, race or nationality, age, or hysical disability.“ |

Socialist Party |
“The Socialist Party USA strives to establish a radical democracy that places people’s lives under their own control – a non-racist, classless, feminist, socialistic society in which people cooperate at work, at home, and in the community. Socialism is not mere government
ownership, a welfare state, or a repressive bureaucracy. Socialism is a new social and economic order
in which workers and consumers control production and community residents
control their neighborhoods, homes and schools.” |
|
|
Socialist Labor Party of America |
“The SLP's goal is
a classless society based on collective ownership and control of the
industries and social services, these to be administered in the interests of
all society through a Socialist Industrial Union government composed of
democratically elected representatives from all the industries and services
of the land. Production would be carried on for use instead of profit. The
SLP program for achieving this revolutionary change from capitalism to
socialism is based on the Marxist tenet that socialism can be achieved only
through the class conscious action "of the working class itself." The core of the
SLP program points up the need for classwide political and economic
organizations. A primary role of the political organization is to challenge
the political apparatus of the capitalist class and its monopoly of state
power, while promoting worker class consciousness and emphasizing the need
for organizing working-class strength on the economic field. The objective of
economic organization is to unite the workers at the point of production so
as to render them capable of taking control of the entire productive process
and democratically administering and operating it in society's collective
interests.“ |

United States Pacifist Party |
“United States Pacifist Party (USPP)
is designed to give expression within a democratic, electoral context to the
belief that military power profoundly contradicts many religious and philosophic
principles, and is a practical mistake in our time. It sees military
traditions and institutions as the key obstacle to the solution of major
social evils, such as war, the arms race, poverty, and political oppression.” |
